Darren Kamen LLB (Hons), FCG
During a professional career of over 25 years our founder and Director Principal, Darren, has advised and supported companies both from the outside and within. He has worked alongside some of the UK and Europe’s most talented legal, governance, finance and business leaders.
Darren spent ten years working in law firms, specialising in company law and corporate finance to support clients with corporate projects, mergers & acquisitions, IPOs and complex reorganisations.
Darren then moved in-house to join a blue-chip FTSE 100 global industrial technology company as Corporate Legal Counsel, gaining business experience and an understanding of what really matters to organisations. Here, working closely with engineers, technologists and business colleagues, Darren developed the pragmatic, solutions-based mindset that he is known for.
After leading the legal support for several high-profile strategic corporate projects, Darren became the Deputy Company Secretary to obtain more boardroom and corporate governance experience. In this role he delivered significant contributions to ‘Board and below’ governance improvement projects, in support of a progressive approach. Darren also qualified in this period as a chartered governance professional, supplementing his legal skills with the specialist technical knowledge needed to deliver core company secretariat and governance services.
Darren has gained a first-hand appreciation of the governance challenges faced by Directors, General Counsel and Company Secretaries, and what it takes to address these.
